Closed Issue: Subtitle timings are slightly different than other OCR apps [624]

Output subtitle timings are different (wrong?) by 1ms or 2ms comparing to the output of other subtitle ocr applications. Not a problem at all of course, but why?

Hello,

Is it normal that, when you click "Ignore" for some characters (say, a line you don't want to appear in your subtitle file), the program will add the ignored characters to the trained map. all ignored chars are trained as blanks.

Is this a feature/bug please ?

I have several DVD's with subtitles that "block" on j.

e.g.

jij

First j is accepted,
second j I have to add the dot and specify j but it returns to j without dot and gets stuck. Is this a know problem? I've tried 1031 and 1032c but both fail.

I was able to extract the subtitles as vobsub and OCR them with SubExtractor. So it looks like the DVD's are OK.

I figure the default word spacing does not always work for me, and it's great that there is an option to adjust it.Currently, there is no way to save the changes between sessions, though, so that the only way to keep the changes made to it is by keeping the application open...Thanks for your wonderful work!benzin

Hi,

This is the issue I posted about in the Doom9 forums.

Adding a "Remove ALL" button in the "Options/Special characters" window would be really handy for all non-english native speaking people. Ideally If there were a little more usability options in the listview, like navigating up/down using the arrow keys & able to press DEL to delete the items on the fly.

.... But a "Remove ALL" button would be the first thing most non-english speaking people would really like to see there.

For example, in French, there is a space before ? ! and :
But SubExtractor delete it...

This is not a bug, it is already fixed. Hit the Up/Down/Left/Right arrow buttons to include more pieces in a character recognition.

I would like an option for that too. I almost always need to adjust (decrease) the spacing in specific Greek characters, like italic versions of λ, χ, γ, ν.
